ShanthanShanthan has been professionally active in the entertainment business since 1996 and his career and life has been both varied and interesting ever since then. He had for many years been a regular name on the Musical Theatre Scene since graduating with a History Degree from the University of Natal in 1999. Starting his career at Themi Venturas Productions he has since been in such shows like Good Vibrations , The Guitar That Rocked The World , The Doowah Boys , Route 66 and for many years was a regular at The Dockyard Theatre in Durban as well as the Barnyard Theatre nationwide. He is also well travelled - plying his trade in Turkey for 4 seasons , performed in the United Kingdom and is currently on entertainment contract in Egypt in 2013 where he has developed a fearsome reputation as a credible and dynamic front man and vocalist with the many international guests

In 2010 Shanthan started focussing on his songwriting - and has cultivated a sound which is quickly gaining the attention of listeners and industry professionals alike in his beloved South Africa , the United Kingdom , Ireland , Russia and Germany where he has developed small but loyal followings from his many travels. He is also able to converse in the Dutch language and also in basic Russian and German. In 2013 Shanthan decided to enter the UK Songwriting Competition with only basic acoustic arrangements - a competition which is open to songwriters worldwide where anywhere between 6000 to 8000 songs are entered every year in 15 different categories with top international judges from the music industry. With 4 song entries he reached 3 semi-final placings and his song 4 this Woman placed as a finalist in a category. Known for being vocally versatile and dynamic on stage - he is currently searching for the right producer who is able to take his material to the next level....material which he is quietly confident the world of songwriting excitingly beckons....
